Thetford part number SSPA0680 is a genuine 250mm co-axial hob thermocouple used on a range of Thetford/Spinflo caravan, motorhome and marine cooking appliances. It was previously referenced as SPCC4200.

The thermocouple is an important flame-failure safety component. It senses heat from the burner flame and works with the gas control valve so that the gas supply can be shut off if the flame is extinguished.

• A particularly important distinction is that this is the 250mm version for applications WITHOUT the lid shut-off function. Where a hob incorporates the lid shut-off system, a different thermocouple may be required.
